NEW DOG TRAINING AVAILABLE IN ELSTEAD AND THURSLEY
Millbrook Agility Dogs (MAD), has recently started new dog training classes in our area. The club is run on a professional basis and all the instructors have undergone training. The modern training methods are kind, effective, reward based and fun.
People and dogs can take part in the activities purely for fun, to have a hobby with their dog and make friends at the club.
Alternatively for the more ambitious handlers there are the facilities to train their dogs and themselves up to competition standard and compete at weekends all over the country, qualify for finals and compete at Crufts, Olympia or the World Championships !
Currently the classes are held on Thursday evening, 6 - 7 pm Puppy socialisation and basic obedience, 7 - 8 pm Beginner agility, 8 - 9 pm Improver and intermediate agility classes.
For more information contact Tel. 01483 724369 or visit the club's website www.madkathagility.com

NEW TRAIDCRAFT CATALOGUE out now
Add fair trade to your shopping list by choosing gifts, decorations and foods from the new Traidcraft catalogue.
Whether you are looking for traditional crafts, fair trade fashion, fine foods or Christmas gifts and decorations with a difference, this latest range has something to suit everyone.
New foods for Christmas include Half-coated Chocolate Tree Biscuits made with fairly traded sugar from Malawi and Chocolate-coated Coffee Beans (page 33). The Arabica coffee beans are coated in delicious dark chocolate and presented in a calico drawstring bag, which is made in Bangladesh. For catering on a large scale, there is now a full range of coffee and tea, including new Traidcraft Instant Coffee Granules (page 32).
Traidcraft is part of MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY and the new catalogue highlights the skills and craftsmanship of the Africa producers Traidcraft works with. People like Kenyan woodcarver Alois Paul, who has been carving nativity sets for Traidcraft. For the past two years, he has found work in Bombolulu's woodcarving workshop for about six months at a time.
"Sometimes I get other work, but it never pays enough," he said. "Here I am paid regularly and at an agreed rate. I have a wife and three children, aged 11, 13 and 15. They can eat because of the work I get here."
