AUTUMN AT RAINBOWS NURSERY SCHOOL

The Autumn term at Rainbows is always so much fun. We started with talk and pictures from our summer holidays and will end with the excitement of Christmas.

After the much needed half term break we took a walk to The Old Farm House. On a lovely sunny October morning the children played in the garden collecting autumnal leaves, twigs and other things for our nature table. Then we all played traditional skittles and finished with a song and dance in the barn. A very big thank you to Mrs Grey - we had a lovely morning.

The children's' imaginations have also been busy with different materials creating our Autumn collage. Tissue paper pumpkins, paint and glitter firework rockets and Catherine wheels give a wonderful splash of colour to the village hall. However this most eye-catching display would not be complete without a bonfire, and you can almost feel the warmth from ours, made from the twigs and leaves we collected and orange and yellow paper flames dancing behind.

Late November we start looking forward to Christmas with decorations to be made, casting and rehearsals for the Nativity play and plans for the children's party to be held on 14th December. We hope also this will be the date for a much deserved "grown ups" evening out.

Finally, we are getting ready to welcome several new children to Rainbows who will be joining us in January.

Merry Christmas from us all.
