HOSPICE LOOKS FOR NEW GROWTH IN THE SPRING

The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is delighted to announce the introduction of monthly plant sales on the first Sunday of every month 10 am - 2 pm commencing 2nd April.

"Plant sales have been a growing part of Hospice fundraising for more than three years and we are fortunate to receive ever-increasing numbers of varied, quality plants to sell," comments Hospice nurse and fundraising volunteer Linda Bone. "We needed to find an outlet to turn this generosity into cash for the Hospice, so we have decided to introduce monthly plant sales at the Hospice on the first Sunday of every month."  The Hospice will be selling everything from shrubs and flowers to vegetables and houseplants and all proceeds are donated directly to the Hospice to pay for day-to-day running costs.

Please support your local Hospice on these occasions and snap up a bargain for yourselves at the same time!  You can also help by passing on this information to as many people as possible.

For more information, please contact Linda Bone at the Hospice
Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey GU9 8BL
Or phone 01252 729400.

MOVING DAY FOR PETER PAN PRE-SCHOOL

This month our pre-school will be moving into the new pavilion. We have already been busy clearing out the old toys, organising shelving and sorting equipment ready for the move and we can't wait. It's true, the old pavilion has served us well, but our children are eagerly waiting to see it demolished, (should be entertaining to watch!). This will then make way for some much needed additional car parking spaces. The building work started only seven months ago, so it's congratulations to everyone for such a grand result. We can't manage or hope to thank everyone who has donated money, electrical equipment, spare time, window cleaning, furniture, carpet, paint etc. but at Peter Pan we would like to say a huge thank you to Brian, Gordon, Pat and members of the Trust Committee.

As well as a change in environment for us we have also appointed a new deputy manager, Caroline, who will be joining us in February. We also say hello to several children who have joined us this year, Emma, Charlie, Olivia, Erin, Joshua, Amber and Harvey. We hope they will enjoy their time with us. The theme this term is animals and our children have been making lions and snakes, learning about farm animals and investigating mini beasts and bugs. This is a favourite topic with the children, especially the spiders, ants and wriggly things.

We will be planning some open days over the next couple of months, but if you would like to come along and see our pre-school in action before then, please call me to arrange a date. We're looking forward to hearing from you.
