ELSTEAD ROYAL BRITISH LEGION
WOMEN'S SECTION

The Women's Section would like to say a Big Thank-you to Sue Taylor for all the years of service she has given to the British Legion as secretary of the women's group. We wish her well with all the new activities she will now have time to enjoy.

We at the Women's Section are starting a New era, by changing our meetings to Afternoons on the 2th Thursday in each month.  The February meeting was a social event where the 2006 activities were discussed and idea's put forward for outings.

At the March meeting we enjoyed an interesting talk and demonstration of Ladies lingerie over the ages by Mrs Marion May titled "Boudoirs"

Fancy a good afternoon out ? Then come along and join us, visitors welcome. Next Meeting April 13th 2 pm.

Sandra.

SPRING TERM AT RAINBOWS NURSERY

After all the excitement of the Winter term we look towards Spring term as a chance to recharge and re-group……but happily what could be further from the truth.  It is a great term full of diverse celebrations and subjects to explore and enjoy and the children's' energy levels really are lifted with the longer days and "warmer" sun, (and the surprise snow!)

Thursday 2th March we all celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as a character from our favourite book.  We also opened our very own library and borrowed a book and took home a £1 token to spend in a book shop.

On Shrove Tuesday the children made and tasted pancakes.  Having made the batter and watched them being tossed the children could choose from a selection of fillings from banana, honey and lemon & sugar.

We are preparing now for our Fairy Tales Party on the last day of term by reading and acting out the tales. The "fancy dress home production line" is in full swing as the children will all be encouraged to dress up as a character from their favourite stories.

Please do not hesitate to call Jane Kinnard on 703 14 if you would like to visit Rainbows Nursery.

Happy Easter from us all.
