ELSTEAD EVENING WI.
REPORT OF MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY APRIL 4TH 2006

May Deaville our President opened our meeting with apologies from Mr Rily who was to have been our speaker but unfortunately had to cancel, she went on to introduce Mrs Mills who had kindly stepped in at very short notice.  Mrs Mills is a Blue Badge tourist guide and named her talk - follow me - I think I know where I am going.  She was very humorous and informative and told of some really nice places to visit.

Doing a six months training course in London was very exhausting she said and difficult.  Also having a scenic tour of Sussex for her practical on - how to guide, having to know all roads, buildings of interest and their history.  Such a lot to remember, but she finished the course and finally received her Blue Badge.

She now guides at Titsey Place and Gardens of Oxted Surrey and the National Trust Surrey Hills explorer tours.  Joan Wigley thanked Mrs Mills for a very interesting talk.

Our competition of a decorative egg cup was won by May Deaville.

An Invitation from Farncombe Evening WI was accepted by four of our members, Project Peru on 20th July.

Our next walk is on May 12th meeting at The Manor Inn Farncombe at 10.45.  A circular walk - lunch at The Manor Inn.

Next meeting May 2nd - Resolutions and a Beetle Drive, Competition - Souvenir from Abroad.

Everyone welcome to visit any of our meetings so come along and have a chat,  we'd love to see you.
