FROM
ELSTEAD
PARISH
COUNCIL
At the Annual Parish Council Meeting in May I was elected
Chairman and Richard Terry was elected as Vice Chairman. There
were some changes to sub-committees which will be shown in
the Parish Council list. (See p19 Ed)
We have a fine new Parish Council Notice Board at the Thursley
Road Recreation Ground which we hope that all the village
clubs and organisations will find useful.
We have new bench seats at both recreation grounds and the
cemetery, built by Tony Cheeseman our village handyman - meeting
many requests for more seating over recent years.
I know of only one volunteer for the Community Speed Watch
Scheme which I wrote about in the May issue. This is surprising
when we receive so many comments about cars speeding through
the village. If you want to know more please contact me on
01252 702285 or PC Andy Crane on 0845 125 2222.
After a site meeting The Parish Council has agreed that Elstead
Tennis Club can proceed with an application for two more tennis
courts to meet their expanding membership.
PARISH WALK: There will be a Parish walk on Saturday
15th July starting at 10.00 am from the Village
Green and lasting about two hours. Come along and explore
our paths - you may find some you don't know !
