A SPECIAL THANK YOU

I would like to publicly thank four lovely ladies who live in and around Moors Lane. Namely Mrs. N. Williams, Mrs. F. Sheppard, Rosemary and Hazel.

During Pamela Carroll's (my Mum) terrible illness and recent passing, these ladies have offered me their kindness, support and understanding. We have even found time to put the world to rights and parted company laughing ! This alone helped me through some very dark days.

Special thanks must go to Rosemary who nursed Mum during her last days at the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, having a familiar face around helped Mum greatly.

Lastly I would like to thank a wonderful lady who has supported me throughout. My ` Last Rose of Summer', keep blooming ! !

My love and thanks to you all.

Sarah Howard.

DAPHNE CONSIDINE

Surrey-based charity TALK, which assists stroke recoverers with speech problems, benefited by more than £600 from donations made by friends and relatives of the late Daphne Considine.

Daphne had attended the Tuesday morning workshop of TALK in Guildford for some time, where, despite her disability, she played an enthusiastic part in proceedings. "Daphne was a memorable character who always enlivened our proceedings," said Peter Walker, group leader of the Tuesday morning workshop and Chairman of the charity.  "She will be much missed and lovingly remembered.

We are immensely grateful to all those who contributed so generously to our funds."
