Report of meeting held on Tuesday 5th September


Susan Holmes acting on behalf of president May Deville welcomed members to our September meeting and introduced Mr Paxton our speaker for the evening.

Joining the army in Chester in the 50's Mr Paxton a Redcap told us many humorous stories of his life serving in Germany and Hong Kong and when escorting the Queen and Prince Phillip on some of their travels. He was thanked for a most interesting talk and asked to judge the Military Memorabilia competition which was won by Mary Parker.

Our meeting next month on October 3rd will be our birthday and will be celebrated with a beetle drive and a finger buffet and the competition: Handmade Birthday card.

The 3rd Tuesday on the month is our "Out & About" this has yet to be confirmed.

Meeting at middle car park just above Cut Mill pond on 13th October at 10.45 am walking round Puttenham common, lunch at Barley Mow , Sands. Open to all so please come and join us.
