A welcome was given to all, and we continued with news and remembered friends who were unable to be with us and discussed forth coming events,

We then introduced Mr Browne who brought his Accordion along and entertained us with a musical afternoon with a varied programme and we were able to have some community singing with Songs From The Shows, Old Time, Wartime Songs and some more modern ones. He was warmly thanked by Peggy after which we enjoyed a good cup of tea and nice "eats" and then listened out for any raffle numbers which may be ours to then select a prize.

Our next time of meeting will be our Christmas Tea which will be somewhat earlier this month as Christmas will not be long before it is upon us,

A fresh look [long overdue!] is to be given to the Village Halls.  The Kitchen, Bar area and Dressing Room are to be painted before Christmas and the Committee Room will also soon be re-decorated.

The Main Hall is to get new curtains. These will not only look very smart, but will also conform to new fire regulations and be lined thickly enough to act as better insulation and as a much more effective black-out. These should also be in place before Christmas, we hope.

As finances allow, the remaining parts of both Halls will be decorated inside and out - this is a start! 

On Saturday Dec 16^th, you are invited to our Dinner with the International Golfer and Commentator Peter Alliss followed by a Grand Charity Auction. Tickets for this event are priced at £40 and include a champagne reception at 7.30 pm followed by a 3 course dinner. Following the Ryder Cup in September we are sure to hear some very interesting stories from Peter and there will be many desirable items in the auction.
