CHAIRMAN'S REPORT. Denis Holmes reported that the club has continued to flourish over the past year including the rise in membership.

The quality and quantity of the three shows was remarkable despite the difficult growing seasons. It was very pleasing to see entries from the school children and the Shows have attracted many visitors. Catherine Deaville who has been the Show secretary for several years, was especially thanked for making them such a great success.

All committee members were thanked for their dedication and hard work during the year and Betty and Barbara for running the raffle.

Looking to the future - Bikini vases are to be purchased by the club for use by competitors in the cut flower classes and there is to be a Photographic Competition added to the classes in 2007.

SECRETARY'S REPORT by Susan Holmes.  Membership had increased  from 91 in 2005 to 106 in 2006.  The secretary's job is to be split into three for the forthcoming year.  Membership, programme planning and general secretarial.  This will make the job much easier she said.
The Summer trip to Nymans, with a guided tour, was well attended and much enjoyed by members. The plant sale was a great success and helped towards the club funds.  Mary, Keith and Sandra were thanked for organising this. Ten speakers have been booked for 2007.

TREASURER'S REPORT by Jennifer Hearn. The membership fee will continue to stay at £5 a year, although the club made a slight deficit in 2006.  The annual fee is to be paid in January.
Notice boards and advertising banners have been bought and all the trophies were photographed and valued for insurance purposes.

SHOW SECRETARIES REPORT by Catherine Deaville.  There have been record entries for all three shows.  There were set recipes for the first time in the domestic section and it was amazing to see so many variants. She thanked everyone for their help and support especially with setting up and putting away after the shows.
