ELSTEAD ROYAL BRITISH LEGION WOMEN'S SECTION

The Christmas Meeting which opened at 2 pm on the 14th December, 2006 was more informal than usual as the children from St James' School, together with two of their Teachers arrived at 2.30 pm for a Carol Recital, with musical accompaniment from four of the pupils.

It was an excellent performance and the audience joined in many of the traditional Carols, the words of which many had learnt in their childhood,

After the Recital, thanks were given to all concerned and the children received refreshments in the form of squash and a Kinder Egg.

Following the children's departure came the `serious' business of the afternoon, a glass of wine, sausage rolls, mince pies and crackers, which were enjoyed by all, followed by the usual monthly Raffle together with the Christmas Raffle organized by Betty Burton.

The Christmas cards were distributed as is usual for this time of year and the Meeting closed at approximately 3.45 pm.

The next Meeting will be a New Year `Get Together' at the usual time of 2 pm on Thursday, 11th February, 2006. Please come and join us, any new members will be very welcome. For more details please contact Sandra on 702 050.
