ELSTEAD ROYAL BRITISH LEGION WOMEN'S SECTION
The February Meeting which was scheduled for Thursday the 8th, unfortunately had to be cancel led due to the very snowy weather that day. I do hope that nobody was too inconvenienced by this, as the Chairman, Sandra, Betty Burton, the Treasurer and myself did try and contact as many as we could and notify them of the change of plan.
Also I must apologise for my mistake in the January Magazine article, when I said that the meeting would be on Thursday, 11th February, 2006, sorry about that, I'll try and do better this time!!
The next Meeting will be on Thursday, 8th March at 2 pm, when Peter Bruinvels will be giving a talk, please come along and join us, any new members will be very welcome. For more details please contact Sandra on 01252 702050.

MILFORD DAY CENTRE EVENTS
On Friday 2nd March at 7.30 pm, we will be providing a two course dinner at the Centre followed by an illustrated presentation by
Lt. Col. DAVID BROWN entitled:
Lt. Col. David Brown commanded his Battalion in Afghanistan during 2006 covering a period of NATO expansion into Helmand province whilst trying to maintain the status quo in the Northern provinces and Kabul.
This talk will give a snap shot of the challenges and lesson learnt by an infantry battalion in their mission to try and restore normality to a country that has been embroiled in conflict for the last 20 years. David has agreed to answer questions and I am sure there will be a lively discussion on this topical subject.
Tickets £15 are available from: Proceeds will be shared between the Day Centre and the Army Benevolent Fund
