Now that the clocks have changed and the weather is warming up
do book courts in advance to ensure playing.  The building of the two new courts should ease the current problems.  Below is a snapshot of what is happening at the Club.  News can also be found on the website set up by Barbara Awbery  http://www.orbittennis.co.uk

• Ladies tennis morning is on Tuesdays from 9.30.
  
• Thursday evening mix-in is from 7 - 9 pm, all levels welcome.
  
• The Road to Wimbledon tournament has started.  The finals are on 20^th May, the same day as the Wimbledon draw.
  

• The Tennis Leaders Course was completed by nine 14 - 18yr olds.  Some have been put forward to work alongside tennis coaches at Wimbledon.
  

This year four local artists will be opening their studios during the Surrey County Council run Open Studios event in early June. This is open to Artists and Craftspeople who live and work in Surrey and enables them to display recent work in a convivial atmosphere. The artists are:

Joan Wigley and Janine Rees who will be showing Beaded Jewellery, Felt Making and Weaving at Myrtle Cottage , Thursley Road (Tel No 01252 702 346)
Open 2^nd, 3^rd, 6^th, 8^th, 9^th, 10^th, 13^th, 15^th, 16^th,

Rick Holmes will be exhibiting recent Oils and Watercolour paintings at Foxlow Thursley Road. ( Tel 01252 702484 )

Hazel Craig will also be exhibiting recent Oils ,Watercolours and Cards at Sylvan Cottage ,Back Lane  (Tel 01252 702448 )

Exhibition times 12.00 to 6.00 pm except 7^th which is 6.00 to 8.30 pm
