TRAIDCRAFT
Two years ago Roshan came to the UK from Bangladesh, she is
the Manager of Action Bag.
She had never left Bangladesh before but Traidcraft knew it
would help her and Action Bag to do a market awareness tour.
Several of their products are in our present catalogue.
They are the "recycle range". There is the Re-use Calico
Shopper to reduce your plastic bag usage, the Bamboo Handle
Jute Storage Case for your paper and magazines for recycling
and also the Jute Recycle Bag, which is plastic-lined and
is like the one I use, as it fits into a supermarket trolley
and saves the use of plastic bags. The sale of these
bags helps the producers to have a better standard of life.
These producers are real people known to Traidcraft.
There is now a new Geobar, "Blueberry and Raisin". You
will have to try it yourself as I cannot make up my mind about
them.

HELP
IN
ELSTEAD
Help in Elstead has just completed ten years of service to
the community. Since our formation we have carried out nearly
4,000 jobs on behalf of residents who have need of assistance.
This equivalent to more than one job per day over the ten
year period.
At our recent Annual General Meeting two committee members
of long standing. Jill Neal and Ray Herbert, retired. Jill
is a past secretary and Ray has long looked after the insurance
documentation of our volunteer drivers.
We thank them both.
New Committee
The chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer were
all re-elected at the AGM, as were existing committee member
and they were joined by three new members.
Notes to clients.
To arrange help please
telephone 01252 702 702 10 am - 12 noon Monday to Friday.
A recorded message will then tell you the name and telephone
number of the volunteer on duty that day, and he or she will
endeavour to arrange the assistance required and will confirm
with you when this has been done.
