ELSTEAD COMMUNITY CHOIR

Elstead has so much!  A thriving school, and an amazing community life, all it needs now is a place where we can come together and SING!

Singing:

  • Is creative and fun
  • Brings people together
  • Is good for body and mind!

Come and be part of the wonderful experience of singing in parts.  ALL WELCOME!!!

The Elstead community choir will be run by Carolyn Spencer at the Pavilion every Monday night from 10th September.  We will be learning African chants, Gospel and folk songs.  We will learn to develop our voices and our musical skills.  It is open to all, young and old, WE CAN ALL SING!

Carolyn is a music teacher in Chertsey and was trained in the Kodály approach to music. Kodály believed passionately that music was for EVERYONE and that every one could learn to sing.  His wonderful methodology showed that everyone could develop their voice and as long as our confidence was not stomped on we could all sing in tune.

Come and develop your singing, learn to read music and sing in parts!  The Bar will open for our interval to keep us all lubricated.
