The August Meeting took the form of a Garden Party held in the Legion grounds commencing at 2 pm, when the Members, Lady Burgess and several County Members enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon, with tea, sandwiches, and cakes etc., provided by the Committee Members. The usual Raffle and Table Top Sale were very successful as was a Tombola arranged by Eileen Nelson, assisted by Irene Reffold, where every ticket got a prize, most unusually.
It was a very pleasant afternoon, sunny and with a backdrop of a Bowls Match, what could have been nicer.

The next Meeting will be on 13^th September, when a trip is planned to Storrington and surrounding areas, leaving the Legion at 10.30 am stopping for lunch and returning around 4 pm. There are still some vacant seats, so if you would like to go, please contact Sandra on 702050, you will be very welcome
