Next month I will also be spending part of each of two weeks
in the Chaplain's department at the Royal Surrey Hospital.
Other students will be based at HMP Send, at Gatwick Airport
and at Epsom General Hospital. I will let you know more about
my sector placement in due course. Then after Easter all the
OLM students go off together for our Summer School (yes in
April!) where we will be based in the centre of Birmingham
and spending time trying to understand more of multicultural
societies and faiths with specific reference on the relations
between Christians and Islam.
We were told the pace of work is ratcheted up a notch in the
second year and that certainly is proving very true. I can
now at least look back on the first half of my training since
half term this week marks the half way point of my three year
course which will end in June 2009. Please do continue to
pray for me and talk to me about what I am doing. It's a fascinating
journey of discovery and learning and one I am more than delighted
to share in greater detail with those who are interested.
