SINGING SUNDAY

13th April 10-11 am at St James School

Come and raise the roof!

Worship with some wonderful songs, led by Elstead Community Choir and Carolyn Spencer.

We'll sing some favourites and try some easy-to-learn new ones. Some will be unison and some in harmony, but they will all be uplifting and they'll all be fun!

This Singing Sunday will be devoted entirely to worshiping with our voices. And it's for everyone, from young children to great gran.

Joining voices of all ages together is a powerful experience, so please come along and join in at St James School in the main hall.

WHY CHOOSE TRAIDCRAFT?

There are obviously lots of fair trade products available - so what makes Traidcraft different?

Dedicated organisations like Traidcraft go beyond the standards demanded by the Fairtrade mark:

  • Traidcraft starts working with producers before the achieve Fairtrade status, helping them reach necessary standards
  • Traidcraft invests in training and business development for producers
  • Traidcraft commits to working with producers long-term
  • Traidcraft lobbies governments to improve justice in trade
  • Traidcraft develops new fair trade products

Joyce Chibouro of Kasinthula Cane Growers Ltd in Malawi said "Fairtrade is doing good things here.  The village where I live has one borehole and is to receive electricity, it is very exciting.  We never believed this would be possible".  There is a picture of Joyce on the "Fair Break" packets of wafer biscuits made with fair trade sugar from Malawi.
