FAITH IN MAINTENANCE TRAINING DAY


Faith in Maintenance is a new initiative which aims to help volunteers who look after historic churches.
Run by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) and supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and English Heritage, the scheme offers free one-day training courses with practical sessions and professional speakers.

A course is being held in Guildford in May and the details are as follows:

Venue: Holy Trinity Church, Guildford
Date: Thursday 28th May
Time: 10 am - 4 pm

FARNHAM ARCHERS


The local Archery club is offering beginners lessons over four weeks starting on Saturday 15th June 2008 for adults and juniors.  The Archery field is opposite Pride's Farm shop and has great facilities and a growing membership.  Shoots are held throughout the year on a Sunday morning once new members have completed their initial training. 

All equipment is provided and training is closely supervised by experienced archers.  The initial course costs are Adults £35, Juniors £25.
