GOOD
COMPANIONS
Our April meeting began with a silent tribute for Freda. We
all miss her so much. Thanks to all members who braved the thunder storm and rather a wet journey.
As the afternoon progressed the Sun shone to cheer us.
Joe Smith who takes keep fit lessons gave a very interesting talk. "Health and Beauty" started
in the 1920 - 30s, there were outdoor rallies and among others Eileen Fowler trained the wartime
factory women after the war when she also had a radio and TV programme.
It is essential to keep moving as we get older our joints become stiff - A walk, jobs around
the house and the exercises Joe showed us all help to us to keep fit.
Thanks again to the tea ladies and for the Raffle, next meeting is a bring and buy.
