GOOD COMPANIONS

Our Meeting on 18th December was devoted to celebrating our Christmas Party.  Thirty members and invited guests were welcomed by our Chairman Madge and her Committee. On arriving members put a parcel into Santa's Sack and these parcels, together with Christmas cards would be distributed later, and there was also a bumper Raffle table set out.   Proceedings started with Mr. Brown playing his accordion who encouraged us to sing well-loved Carols and more modern Seasonal songs.   We needed no invitation to join in and sing with him, and the Season's spirit was enhanced by the lovely decorations in the Village Hall and our tea tables laid out ready for goodies to come!

After tea thank-you presents were given to our Chairman and Committee members thanking them for their hard work during the year. Our party finished with gifts from Santa's Sack being distributed and the Raffle was drawn so bringing a very enjoyable afternoon to a close.
Our next Meeting will take place on Thursday 22nd January, 2009

A very Happy New Year to All!
