THURSLEY COMMON - NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE
GRAZING OPEN DAY

Sunday May 10th 11 am to 3 pm

For the first time, since becoming a nature reserve we have cattle grazing a small part of the reserve. A 4ha plot is being grazed by Belted Galloway cattle. This is our first venture into this and are running this as an initial trial. This project is a joint partnership between Natural England and Surrey Wildlife Trust, who own the cattle.

We are holding an open day on Sunday May 10th. This is your chance to come and see the cattle on site, and to ask questions about conservation grazing, and volunteering on the reserve. Staff from Natural England and Surrey Wildlife Trust will be on hand.

Parking is available at the Moat Car Park, near the village of Elstead on the Thursley road. (Grid reference SU899417). Follow directions from there on the nature trail posts to where we are grazing.

We look forward to seeing you there.
