David Walton relocated to Surrey (he lives in Woking) just over a year ago.  He had previously lived at Sevenoaks Weald, where he played regularly for two local churches; and continued to play for one of them (St Lawrence, Seal Chart) despite a relocation to Docklands 8 years ago. Since arriving in Surrey (an arrival provoked by the need for grandparental duties!) he has played for churches in Bisley, West End and Byfleet, before becoming the regular incumbent at Elstead. He is also building up a practice as a teacher of piano - and not just piano! Several parents of his students have recruited him to teach their children modern languages also.

David graduated from University College, London, in Modern Languages (Italian and French); and later added Diplomas from Trinity College of Music as Piano Performer and Teacher.

David is delighted to make the acquaintance of the people of Elstead in his new capacity as organist at St James', and is very happy to be coming here. He will also welcome new pupils.
