HHH CONCERTS
Season 2009-2010

HHH Concerts, familiarly known as 'HHH' (Haslemere, Hindhead and Headley), has a reputation for bringing some of the finest musicians from around the world to perform in Haslemere. It also makes a point of encouraging young artists and can look back with pride on early performances by Jacqueline-du-Pré, Steven Isserlis, Douglas Boyd, the Belcea Quartet, Igor Tchetuev and many more, long before they achieved star status.

The  new season begins on Saturday 3rd October.  The Solstice Quartet, a string ensemble fresh from winning the Royal Over-Seas League Competition this year, will perform quartets by Haydn, Schumann and Henri Dutilleux.

There are five concerts in all, and the two other concerts in the Autumn will feature the Sitkovetsky Trio (violin, cello and piano) with a programme of trios by Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Mendelssohn, and the Fibonacci Ensemble (violin, viola, cello, flute and harp) with a varied programme which includes  music by Mozart, Ibert, Françaix and Saint-Saëns.
