NEWS FROM SPRINGFIELD SURGERY

Dr Rayner who has been a partner at the practice for 6 years will be retiring at the end of August 2009. We all wish him a happy retirement.

We look forward to welcoming Dr Christopher Schenk who will be joining the practice on the 1st of September 2009.

GOOD COMPANIONS

The July meeting was very successful, members had arranged to supply the tea and refreshments which were excellent. There was a good raffle and entrance book takings.

I took the chair, first we had a Quiz - brains were working hard but alas there were no winners. Next one jars was filled with buttons and another with rubber bands - there were many guesses over and under the amount.  Lastly a jar was packed with allsorts of items (170) Averal Hill was spot on so won a prize.

A pleasant afternoon at Bridge House Nursing home was attended by members on Wednesday 29th. Matron and staff provided a cream tea and cakes - also a tour of the building which was very impressive and clean.

Thank you all for your help on behalf of myself and the committee. Thanks for our gifts.

I hope to see you all in September  and a Happy Holiday to any member going away.
