PHYLLIS
TUCKWELL
HOSPICE
CELEBRATES
ITS
30TH
BIRTHDAY!
When we first opened our doors in 1979, we were revolutionary.
We launched into a world that knew very little about the special
care and needs of adults living with life-limiting illnesses
and those who care for them. We gradually made an impact,
not only in the provision of this specialist care, but also
in its research and education. We have achieved so much in
our rich and challenging 30-year history and we want to celebrate
this success with you.
We want to thank you, our local community, for all the support
you have given to us over the last 30 years. It is wonderful
that we have been able to offer all our services completely
free of charge to all of the 10,000 patient admissions and
their families we have cared for over the last three decades.
We have to raise over £10,000 a day in order to keep our doors
open and this can only be achieved thanks to you.
Below are a few of the events taking place between now and
Christmas.
