NEW YEAR NEW YOU!
THE ELSTEAD BASED WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE

Are you serious about losing weight and improving your health in 2010?  A new Weight Loss Challenge starts 7 pm  Wednesday 20th January at URC Hall, Elstead.  These  fun and informative weekly classes are for anyone looking to get motivated with controlling their weight and improve their health.

Participants in the challenge are free to follow the diet plan of their choice. Weekly prizes can be won for progress  and the Biggest Loser at the end of the challenge will win £300, (based on a group of 30 people). 10 weeks for just £39.

The three weight Loss Challenges that ran in 2009 were very popular with many planning to return for more fun and learning in 2010. Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Contact Katie Shorrock 01252 705 928 for full details and to reserve your place

The Autumn Weight Loss Challenge group in Elstead cheered each other on to achieve a combined weight loss of over 12 stone. This was over 2 stone more than the previous group. Can we go one better in January?

PILGRIMAGE TO SYRIA

Led by the Revd. Peter Farrell. 16th-25th September 2010

This pilgrimage (with McCabe Travel) includes visits to sites associated with St. Paul and the earliest Christian communities and the famous pillar ascetic, St. Simeon the Stylite; also the greatest of all the Crusader castles, the Crac des Chevaliers, and the fabulous Roman cities of Palmyra, Apamaea and Bosra.  The weather should be warm but not too hot, with good long days for exploring.  The price is yet to be confirmed but is likely to be somewhere between £1500 and £1600 all-in except for gratuities and pocket money.  Flight would be via British Midland from Heathrow to Damascus.

If you're interested and would like further information, including a detailed itinerary, please contact the Revd. Peter Farrell at
